Materials: I'd tell ya if I could remember....something from my stash! ;) Lightweight knit (I would guess a cotton/lycra) with a crazy geometric print, and solid olive for the neckband.
Now, when Jen released this pattern, she made it with tissue knit, and that's what it was originally intended for...obviously you can do with it what you want. Since it is flowy and over-sized in general (one size fits all!) sometimes being able to see through a sheer fabric and seeing the outline of your body, covered with a cami preferably ;), is helpful as far as aesthetic. I love my lightweight fabric on this, but am thinking of redoing the neckband! It is a little thicker and sturdier than I like. I think this could be a little more fun as an off-the-shoulder piece, so we'll see if I have time to pick out my stitches and try another route!
I can't wait to cook up another one of these! Jen does a color blocked version in her tutorial and I may have to follow her lead on that one. Also, don't forget to follow Jen's Hemlock Tee board on Pinterest, because there are so many great variations, modifications, and material ideas on there! Those inspirations should get you going.
Thanks for stopping by!
